3-1/2" Deep Masonry Boxes with concentric knockouts are used in the installation of
electrical fittings and other devices in masonry walls and other applications requiring deep boxes.
They are constructed from 16 gauge galvanized steel.
Intended for masonry work but more typically used for larger devices or when extra wire space is required.
Historically the MB-4, 4-gang, was the go-to box for Lutron's Grafik Eye. Today for residential applications we also have plastic nail on boxes with similar capacities. As well as plastic 5 & 6 gang.
If for use in exterior applications (flush), please keep in mind covers for 3 through 6 gang exterior rated are hard to come by and expensive.
