We will gladly accept the return of products that are defective due to defects in manufacturing and/or workmanship. Fulfillment mistakes that may be made which result in the shipment of incorrect products to you will also be accepted for return.
If you are uncertain of an item you are ordering, please contact us before you purchase. We have some really knowledgeable staff, we've been doing this for a while. If you want to take chances, it's on you. Installed items, tools and test equipment, most items electronic in nature including but not limited to: GFCI, AFCI and smoke detectors, are non-refundable. Hanks Electrical Supply does not extend or otherwise offer any warranty or guarantee beyond the manufactures stated warranty and specifications.
Basically, if you know that you don't know what you're doing lets talk. We want you to get it right the first time. If you don't know enough to know that you are doing something wrong, well then you probably didn't look this far either. Probably skipped the included instructions and now you're looking for your recourse. You are basically dangerous to yourself, extremely lucky to not hurt anyone and/or burn down whatever your working on. Even if we walk you through something we have an adage here that is "I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you". So if you still don't get it, please hire an electrician.
Orders will not process until receipt of payment. This normally happens instantly, however in some cases may take up to 48hours.
Expedited shipping is just that, shipping. We still need time to process & pack your order. If you pay for overnight, we'll do our best to make sure it goes out the same day, but occasionally it may not ship until the following business day. If you are ordering extras, testing, or have any intention of returning anything, please be sure you are reading this carefully.
- Hanks Electrical Supply will only accept for return parts that are just as they were when they left here. New parts, uninstalled, in whatever unmolested packaging they originally shipped in, sealed if applicable and with any included hardware, software, literature (even the Spanish instructions), etc...
Electrical Supply will absolutely not take back anything we cut to
length, assembled, modified, or otherwise made or had made to your
- NC/NR, if you see this term on our website it means this item is Non-Cancel-able and Non-Returnable, basically goes along with the line above, but for stock or special order items.
- Re-stocking fee's apply as imposed by the manufacturer, for any items that need be returned to them. Although we should charge for our time as well we only extend the manufacturers restocking fees and any incurred return shipping. Basically applies to all special order items and stock items in excessive quantities and/or odd finishes.
- Defective items are at the discretion of us and ultimately the manufacturer. We will occasionally test returns for function, if they work as stated you will be notified on how you want to collect or otherwise pay to return ship back to you. Items truly defective in nature will be replaced or refunded.
- Transformers are completely at the discretion of it's respective manufacturer. We honestly sell and stock the transformers we do because of how reliable they are. However some of you will still not understand the 80% rule, wire size or proper installation techniques and try to return one made defective by you. Of the transformers that are returned only about 10% are really defective and refunded by the manufacturer. In the special case of a transformer return, you will not be refunded until it is approved by the manufacturer. If you need a replacement in the mean time, it's your gamble and on you to purchase another and end up with 2.
- For Refundable returns, will be
processed upon meeting all the criteria above. Even after we issue a
refund it may take up to 48hours to reflect on your statement.
- For Exchanges we will process a return and offset your replacement order and charge or refund any difference.
